Warrior of the Sea

and I are working on a story together called "Sea Wars", which is a story about our characters, Meris and Hailong, falling in love and facing a lot of obstacles because their love is consider forbidden because Meris is a mermaid and Hailong is a cecaelia (octopus person). Their people are at war with each other.

This character, Ozai, plays a major role in the story. He is the uncle of Hailong and general for the cecaelian army. He wanted the war between the mermaids and his people to continue, while Meris and Hailong want it to end. In the story he is around his late 60s, but looks like he is more in his late 20s - early 30s. The reason for that is someone dear to him in his past gave him a special necklace that has magical elements; it prevents him from getting seriously injured and from aging past being 20/30. Ozai's character goes through his own changes throughout the story.
